We have purchased an ECO Water filtration system for our home. It is a typical water system, nothing fancy. However, if you need any service on what so ever; this is NOT the company for you! They will make appointments and then break them without calling. To make matters worse, they don't even have the service specialists available in your area (>1 person/area). So, if that 1 person gets sick or has an issue then that is it! If you have an urgent matter, well too bad for you. Their service department is by far, the worst that I have ever experienced. I would not recommend this company nor this brand to anyone.

11. Written by Melissa, on 25-10-2009 11:10 A rep from Ecowater came out to a "friendly test" on our water. In return we would get a $25 gift certificate to Red Lobster or Olive Garden. The man was there for several hours and wouldn't take "No thanks" or just plain "No" for an answer. Finally the man left but said our gift certificate would be here in a couple of weeks. Needless to say months went by and I called every couple of weeks to inquire about the gift card. I would get some lame excuse as to why no one could answer my question. I started doing some research and found that other people like me were promised the same thing without any gift card. So, I reported them to the Better Business Bureau and received my gift card yesterday. Do not let these people into your home, especially if they are promising you a free gift. This is illegal of they do not give you the gift card. I was in contact with a rep from the Better Business Bureau and this is considered a "Bait and Hook" tactic that is illegal unless they meet their end of the deal. Good luck to all and I am not suprised to see that many of you have had issues.
12. Written by Tony, on 15-10-2009 14:07 I recently had a guy come under the pretense that they were Georgia Envionmental coming to let us know what latest tax incentives. I may have miss asssumed the were GA Environmental, but that is how I think their pitch was designed. Several times, before even letting them arrive, I asked to make sure they were not going to try and sell me something. The water presentation was eye opening if it was honest, but then came the pitch they assured me wouldn't happen. $14 grand for their combo water filter/solar heating product. And, they were going to gratiously discount it $5000 that day. When we asked him to leave, he got real biligerant to point that I was about to call the cops. I'd hate to see how much they'd intimidate the those with less will to resist.
13. Written by Sandy, on 09-10-2009 10:16 Water treatment dealers should be licensed bonded and insured. I know the San Diego dealer is. you can check to see if they are licensed at the California State license board website.
14. Written by Steven Hawkins, on 09-10-2009 10:12 I live i San Diego and my experience with EcoWater has been great. We purchased their whole house system and my water is awesome now. I needed service and they answered the phone on the weekend and came out that very day. I guess it depends on the dealer you have.
15. Written by anonymous, on 08-10-2009 19:02 i am sorry for everything you have gone through with that company. I am ashamed to say that i used to work there and quit because of how poor their buisness ethics were. I also do not recommend this company's product, or buisness for employment! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE THEY ARE MONEY HUNGRY, AND NON PROFESSIONAL.
16. Written by Concerned - IS it a SCAM, on 28-09-2009 13:20 I received a post card in the mail stating "we have been unable to contact you. Please contact us within 3 days we have a parcel for you. I have never ordered anything from the company. I am not going to call, but just wanted others to watch out.
17. Written by Secouric, on 28-09-2009 12:11 I live in Kitchener, Ontario in Canada, and we had a sales representative come to our house. He was very friendly and made an excellent presentation. The young guy that came to install the until was super cool and very informative, I think his name was Mike. I have to admit though, their follow up on service is very poor. I had no idea when to change my filters in the 5 years I owned the system. If Ecowater wishes to continue excellent customer relations, more interaction is required. I think their systems are excellent. I also went to their store in Kitchener, and the older gentleman helping was pretty good. He told me they manufacture systems for GE and others. He also said Culligan's quality is just alright, but that they market themselves very well. If all this is true, then they should be a solid choice.
18. Written by concerned citizen, on 11-09-2009 13:27 I think ecowater is scamming people at many different levels. My household was tricked into having an ecowater salesman come to our house under pretenses of working with Home Depot and welcoming our family to the area with a free water evaluation. When the salesman came to our house, he literally looked like he was on drugs with eyes bulging and jaw shifting. His only means of idenification associated with ecowater was a laminated name tag and his briefcase of water testing supplies. I think if ecowater wants to maintain any type of reputation, they may want to screen their representatives better and be more mindful and honest when reaching out into the community.
